About Palmeraie of Marrakech

The Palmeraie is a broad palm-grove landscape on the northern side of Marrakech whose origins are traditionally associated with the Almoravid development of the city and its historic irrigation systems. UNESCO identifies the palm grove as part of the natural environment linked to the outstanding value of historic Marrakech. Today the area mixes surviving palm landscapes with residences, hotels, golf facilities and activities such as camel rides and quad biking.
